LOS ANGELES, CA- In a statement to the Associated Press, Chris Cornell’s representatives have announced that the Grammy Award winning lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave passed away May 17th, 2017 at the age of 52.

Cornell, with his gravely yet pristine four octave tenor voice, helped develop and evolve the 1990s wave of music known as grunge. Lauded by many publications as one of music’s greatest rock/heavy metal vocalists, his repertoire is the stuff of legend.

Rest in peace, Chris. You will never be forgotten.
