Making the most of the special relationship Coventry rapper Mike Ray teams back up with Colorado producer therealagebeats for eye-popping new single ‘Juice’.
The track, featuring Lecs Blvck and IamTerrier, throws down a fat US beat – chunky kicks and hat trills galore – which is given a thorough going-over by the Coventry trio, laying down smooth verses around a colossal chorus hook crafted on the road in Northern England.
Ray explains: “Me and Lecs freestyled the hook when driving to Liverpool one time, the song came about from there because we were both feeling the vibe. Thats how majority of our songs come about, because I am all about good vibes and energy and when I feel those vibes thats when I am creative and can come up with catchy hooks/flows hence the freestyles.”
Ray is best known for his 2017 track ‘Bethanny’, which also featured therealagebeats on production.
