When he released “The Heart Part 4,” Kendrick Lamar teased that a new album could maybe arrive on April 7. Last night didn’t culminate in the release of a new LP, but the pre-order for a new album from Kendrick did go up on iTunes. Currently titled just ALBUM, Kendrick’s latest full-length is set to arrive April 14 via Top Dawg Entertainment. It will mark Kendrick’s first proper studio album since the release of To Pimp a Butterfly in 2015, and includes recently released track “HUMBLE.” Neither the full tracklist nor cover artwork has been revealed, but a look at the information provided with the iTunes preorder list U2, BADBADNOTGOOD, DJ Dahi, the Alchemist, 9th Wonder, and more as contributors on the new album. He teased TPAB in a similar fashion: The iTunes pre-order listing just one song title on the tracklist, along with a release date and placeholder art and title.
