Los Angeles police are still seeking a warrant to enter Chris Brown’s Tarzana home following an early morning 9-1-1 call, but in the meantime they appear to have retrieved weapons and drugs from the phone after the singer threw a duffel bag out the window, according to TMZ. TMZ reports that there was at least one gun, along with other weapons and drugs in the duffel bag. Brown has still not left the house, though TMZ reports that he taunted cops by saying “Come and get me” as he threw the bag out of the window.
A woman at the the residence called police around 3 a.m. after Chris Brown allegedly pointed a gun at her during a rage, according to the L.A Times, who report that officers attempted to enter the home and were told to get a search warrant.
Chris Brown had allegedly been in the house with several friends, including Ray J, when some uninvited guests arrived—at which the story gets “murky,” according to TMZ. You know facts are really thin when TMZ is calling the story murky. By 9 a.m., a SWAT team unit and Chris Brown’s high-profile lawyer Mark Geragos were en route to the house, according to the L.A. Times. An LAPD spokesperson told LAist that the department’s Robbery Homicide Division had taken over the case, and was also on the scene.
In a series of profanity-laden Instagram videos posted just after 9 a.m., Brown alleged that he had been “asleep half the damn night,” only to awake to the helicopters and police presence outside. He said he hadn’t done anything and suggested that the police had it out for him, calling them “the worst gang in the world.” In a third video, Brown takes the opportunity to remind viewers of his new album, saying “While I’m on my promo kick, let me not forget to say, go stream, download, buy Grass Ain’t Greener, video out.”
